Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

When I submitted my Digital Flip Book assignment, well before the proper deadline, I had technical difficulties embedding the assignment in the forum as we were requested to -- I wasn't sure if just seeing code was an error with my computer, or if I was doing something wrong, but I posted a working external link to my assignment directly above, just in case. I currently have no internet at my Kingston residence, and after I had finished this last assignment, I haven't been back to the library this summer.

My final grade for the assignment was zero. Looking back over the outline, I realized it was my mistake that I didn't embed the Flip Book properly, and in a section of the outline I missed, it does state that external links would not be accepted. While I do not argue that my mark on the project should suffer for failing to properly embed, and for also failing to ask the professor for help, it seems extreme to me that I should completely fail the assignment when it was, otherwise, fully complete, and could've easily been accessed by clicking the link. I was also unable to check/see any responses or investigate further from my house, where the internet has been disconnected for the summer.

I worked hard to complete the assignment in its entirety, and it seems to me that being failed on account of a submission error is unfair.
