To the Faculty of Arts and Science,
I am writing to respectfully request permission to be added to LLCU 111 Introduction to Culture, despite the class having already started. I understand that the registration period has ended, and I sincerely apologize for the late request. However, I would like to provide some context for my situation and explain why I believe my request should be considered.
Initially, I was placed on the waitlist for DEVS 101, which was my first priority for this semester. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure a spot in that course, and the timing of the waitlist movement prevented me from enrolling in LLCU 111 before the deadline. Given my academic goals and the significance of both courses to my degree progression, I have now realized that LLCU 111 is critical for me to stay on track this semester.
I am fully committed to putting in the necessary effort to catch up on any missed assignments, lectures, or exams and I am confident that I can quickly learn material and actively engage in class discussions with some initial guidance from the professor or teaching assistant.
I appreciate your understanding of the unique circumstances that have led to this request, and I am ready to take immediate action to catch up and fully participate in LLCU 111 should I be granted permission to enroll.

To the Faculty of Arts and Science,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to outline my academic plan as part of my efforts to progress both academically and successfully as a student. I understand the importance of staying on track with my academic goals, and I am committed to taking the necessary steps to ensure my continued success.
First semester, I was faced with numerous challenges and setbacks that impacted my mental state and my academic productivity. There were family and personal and health circumstances that consumed most of my time during my first semester here. In return, it did not allow me to settle in as a first-year student. As a new student from Ottawa, it was tough for me to deal with new responsibilities and the separation from my family at a time when it wasn't an ideal time for us to be apart but if it weren't for my mother, I feel that I would've given up completely.
To overcome these challenges and complete my degree,
I plan to enroll in courses that show importance to my future goals and plans, but also courses that I feel I would succeed in more academically.
I will prioritize courses that are crucial for my major and will take a manageable number of credits each semester to ensure I maintain a strong academic performance.
I will use all resources that will help me succeed during my time here at Queen's University.
I am committed to developing more effective time management strategies by using a planner, creating weekly study schedules, and setting aside dedicated time for coursework.
I plan to seek additional resources to improve my understanding of challenging material.
I will make use of on-campus resources such as to address any academic difficulties I may face.
I plan to attend any workshops or seminars related to academic skills improvement, such as time management, stress management, or study strategies.
I will regularly monitor my academic performance by reviewing my grades and seeking feedback from professors.
If necessary, I will adjust my course load or seek additional academic support to stay on track for graduation.
My long-term goal is to pursue a career in Family Law and I am fully committed to following this plan and making the necessary adjustments along the way to ensure I achieve these goals.
