Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am writing this appeal in hopes of getting ASTR 101 removed from my transcript. I never got my final grade back, but it shows an F on my transcript.

I took this class in the fall of 2023. I did well on the assignments for the class but not so well on the midterm. I had reached out to the professor to see if I could make up some marks, to which he never responded. After the final exam, which I thought I had done well on, I had three weeks of winter break before the new semester started. During that time, he never posted the final mark. I had also emailed him about when they would be posted, but he never responded to that either. With the deadline for marks required to be posted approaching, I thought surely he would post them soon. He never did. After the new semester started and the deadline for the marks to be posted arrived, I checked SOLUS, and it showed an F for the course.

I am asking for this course to be removed from my transcript as I feel the professor did not uphold academic profession. He never responded to any of my emails and did not post the final mark. To this day, I still do not know what my final mark is.

I am also applying to Law schools this coming Fall, and having this course on my transcript will severely affect my chances of getting admitted.
