Petition Letter: Hi,

My name is Lydia Stone, I have been attending studies at Queen's University for five and a half years now. I planned to graduate in April 2015 of this year, however due to emotional and physical changes that occurred over the year, I had to complete two additional course electives this summer 2015. Throughout the year, I was in contact with adviser's at the Disability Office, as I was recently diagnosed with a learning disability and generalized anxiety disorder by my psychiatrist, Doctor Eid. This year my grades struggles immensely, however I tried to push through to complete my last two electives for my degree, FRST 105 and GNDS 260. I already have all of my credits for my degree requirements. I have been accepted to attend a one-year postgraduate program in Toronto, ON and I have made deposit payments for this, on the promise that I will have 'proof of degree' and will have completed all credits for my BAH. I tried my very best this entire year to juggle school with work, family, and outside stress sources. I am asking to receive a passing grade for FRST 105 and FILM 260, so that I can graduate and begin a new chapter in my life. I have an enormous amount of debt to pay for school and even though I tried my best to complete these two last courses, I cannot fathom throwing away 1000.00 for two courses I did not pass. If needed, I have a letter from my psychiatrist at Hotel Dieu stating that I have frequently been under his care for psychological reasons. Thank you very much,
