Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Due to the extenuating circumstances of the ongoing strike, I was unable to understand my grade throughout this course, resulting in a below average performance. Even though I've completed the final assignment, I feel at this time I don't want this course on my transcript. This is not an accurate reflection of my skills or academic abilities. I feel as though my grades were compromised as the expectations of the course continued to change. I was unable to access an academic advisor before the add drop deadline, resulting in my lateness. I now understand the original deadline was April 4th, however, I am hopeful that you consider a brief extension under the circumstances listed. I don't want this to impact my long-term success as a Queens University student. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration.
