Petition Letter
Petition Letter: In Fall of 2023 I was the victim of a sexstortion scam. During that time my mental health plummeted and I was nowhere near the right mindset to complete my exam. I was able to finish the other courses as the event did not take place then, or I was able to complete the final course assignments later on.
During the winter of 2023 I unfortunately had gotten food poisoning during the examination period of my STAT263 exam. The exam was deferred to another time, only for myself to get a concussion from standing up and hitting my head on a granite countertop. I was at a family friends house who happens to be a doctor and he loosely diagnosed me with having a concussion. This resulted in the deferral of deferred exam. Dr. Molson, said, if my memory is correct, understandably, that he is not comfortable doing a double deferral of the exam.
Around October-November of 2024 I was contacted again by the same scammer who tried extorting me again that would span over until March of 2025. All the same emotions from the previous time came flooding back with more fervor. Again during that time I fell into a deep depression and really fought to push though and complete some school. I unfortunately was not able to complete the examination of the BIOL course.
Due to the continuation and increased severity of the extortion I was completely bed ridden during the months of Jan to March.
