Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: This is my first year of university and my first time ever taking an online course. I fell behind quickly and because it was online it was easy to neglect the work. I suddenly reached a point where there was no way to come back from it. To Dr. May I’d like to say I’m sorry for not having taken the course as seriously as I should have. This was simply a case of neglecting my duties as a student and I have learned my lesson. I’d like to drop this course so as to not effect my GPA and I will make up the lost credits in the upcoming school year.
