Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,

I had originally taken the ENG 100 summer course to boost my GPA from the Fall/Winter term. However, during the summer my father unexpectedly lost his job. Due to this reason, i decided to drop out of Queen's University and instead decided to go to a university in my home city; Toronto. This is the only way that i can get a university education. After days of planning and calculating, we came to the conclusion that there was no way i could afford to attend Queen's next year as my father had to contribute towards both mine and my sister's education. I am asking you to kindly accept my request to drop the summer course so that i can send the most updated transcript to a local university for admission. The summer course does not end until a few weeks and i would like to submit my application to the university as soon as possible.
