Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Queen's University,

Due to the disruption of regular instruction and assistance for my courses caused by the teacher's strike, I am filing this petition. Lack of regular access to lectures, tutorials, and teacher feedback has made it very challenging for me to continue meeting the required academic requirements. Long-term uncertainty and uneven access to educational materials have had a direct impact on my academic performance, as evident in instances such as PSYC 100, where lectures and labs were suspended and instructions were unclear, resulting in delays and confusion.

I've tried to remain on course during the disruption by reviewing the materials on my own, attending any other sessions that are offered, staying in touch with my classmates, and reaching out to teachers or department staff when possible. Despite these attempts, the strike's effects have created an academic atmosphere that has made it extremely difficult for me to meet my course requirements. I respectfully request that my petition be approved so that my marks can be adjusted due to the unfortunate circumstances.

Thank you very much for your understanding and consideration.

Sincerely,
Ramana Karunakaran
