Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To Associated Dean of Studies of Arts and Science,
I am writing this letter to make an approval for a very late decision for dropping a course, Psychology 100. With a full course load this summer, and with an unstable body condition, it was hard keeping up with the workload. My body condition throughout the past year wasn't too good either. I decided to take summer courses, since during the year I dropped courses, which made me think that I should make up for it. However, I feel that I have forced myself too much with a very bad body condition. During this past year, I found out I had minor signs of Tuberculosis, which made me feel tired and nauseous quite often. Additionally, I found that I also have H. Pylori which also led to GERD (Gastro esophageal reflux disease) which led me to have trouble eating and digesting. The doctor told me, additionally with doing exercise and studying, I had to fix my diet. However, being in first year, being in an unfamiliar environment and dealing with cafeteria food, and no kitchen, it was very hard, which led my condition to go worse. This summer, I am working hard with my summer courses, along with my exercise and diet for my health. The doctor has told me things I should eat and not eat, and additionally told me, if this continues towards the negative direction, this can lead to abdominal cancer (stomach cancer). Having so much on my mind with trying to do better in school and keeping up with my health. I have made a late decision to drop one of the courses I am taking this summer which is why I am writing this letter. I have attached my medical charts and examinations and some medications I have taken during this past year. I looked for other documents of other medication I have taken previously, however I cannot get a hold of those documents since I am not on those medications right now. Furthermore, I will need to take this course again during either third or fourth year since I feel that I couldn't show my full potential on my last few assignments and tests. If any other documents are required. I will try to talk to the clinic and send it to you. Thank you for your consideration.
