Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Due to the PSAC 901 labour strike, the delivery of information for this class was severely impacted. The course was taught by a teaching fellow, so when the strike occurred, both my TA and the course instructor were unavailable for support. Prior to the strike commencing, my TA encouraged us as students to not submit assignments in solidarity with those on strike. Along with many of my classmates, I did not complete the final assessment for this class, as we were encouraged not to by our TA and were told that no work we submitted would be graded. Currently, the strike has now ended, but my grade in the class (GNDS 125) is very low, as I did not submit the final assignment (at the direction of my TA). I am requesting a CR in this class due to the confusing direction given by my TA in regards to submitting work, and for the diminished support and instruction that was available to students during the strike. By being told to not do or submit work by my TA due to the strike, my grade in this class is much lower than it would have been had the strike not occurred. For this reason, I am requesting a CR in this class.
