I am writing to formally request a change in my final course mark for KNPE 167: Socio-Cultural Dimensions of Sport and Physical Activity (Winter 2025) taken during my second semester of the 2024/2025 school year to credit (CR) standing.
Throughout the semester, I engaged actively in all course components and remained committed to meeting academic expectations. However, the unexpected disruption caused by the TA strike significantly impacted my education. With instruction and support halted, I faced challenges to build upon my learning and improve my academic performance, despite my continued efforts to complete the course requirements independently.
As a result, I believe my final grade does not fully reflect my understanding of the course material. Granting a credit standing would more accurately represent both my engagement with the course and the extenuating circumstances beyond my control.
I kindly ask that you consider my request to change my final course mark to a credit standing considering these challenges. I am confident that this adjustment will better reflect my academic achievements and allow me to continue my studies without the negative impact of the current mark.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I am available to discuss this matter further if needed.
Regards,
Alexander Fiorini
