Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to respectfully request late enrollment in ENIN 240 – Introduction to Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the Summer Term. I understand that I missed the official enrollment deadline and take full responsibility for this oversight.
Although I do not have extenuating circumstances to report, I am making this request based on my academic goals. I am working toward improving my GPA in preparation for applying to Teachers College after completing my undergraduate degree. ENIN 240 offers valuable content that supports both my academic and professional development, and enrolling in this course would be an important step in strengthening my transcript.
If approved, I am committed to catching up on any missed material and meeting all course expectations. I am prepared to work closely with the instructor to ensure I transition into the course smoothly and without disruption.
Thank you for considering my petition. I appreciate your time and hope for a favourable outcome.
Sincerely,
Maia Swemmer

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Although I am not submitting this petition due to extenuating circumstances, I am requesting late enrollment in ENIN 240 as part of a focused academic plan to improve my GPA and strengthen my application for Teachers College.
To support my academic success in this course and going forward, I have implemented the following strategies:
Adjusted Course Load: I have intentionally limited my summer course load to ensure I can devote sufficient time and energy to each course, with a particular focus on ENIN 240.
Study Routine: I have established a structured weekly study schedule to stay ahead on readings, assignments, and exam preparation.
Academic Support: I am making use of Queen’s academic support services, including academic coaching and skills workshops, to further develop my time management and study techniques.
Advisor Check-Ins: I am working with an academic advisor to ensure my course selections and academic performance remain aligned with Teachers College admission requirements.
Instructor Engagement: I will maintain consistent communication with my instructors to clarify expectations, seek feedback, and proactively address any challenges.
This academic plan reflects my commitment to improving my academic performance and achieving my long-term educational goals.
