Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Due to unexpected and significant financial difficulties, I am unable to pay my summer tuition fees and therefore cannot continue with this course. Unfortunately, these challenges arose after the drop deadline had passed, and I have explored all possible options including financial aid, payment plans, and part-time work opportunities, but was unable to secure sufficient support in time.

I understand the importance of meeting academic deadlines and do not make this request lightly. However, my current financial circumstances make it impossible for me to remain in the course, and I fear this situation may negatively impact my academic standing if I am forced to remain enrolled without the ability to fully participate.


I am fully committed to my academic progress and have every intention of returning in the following term once my financial situation stabilizes. I respectfully ask the Committee to consider my circumstances and allow me to drop the course without academic penalty.
