Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally petition a review of my final grade in EMPR 270. Upon receiving my final grade, I was genuinely surprised by how low it was, as it did not align with my expectations based on my performance throughout the term and my experience writing the final exam.

Throughout the semester, I kept track of my grades and consistently completed all assignments, quizzes, and participation requirements. Based on my own calculations, the final grade I received would only be accurate if I scored below 20% on the final exam or if I was not awarded the 10% participation mark associated with Friday classes. However, I attended all Friday classes and actively participated in discussions and activities, so I believe I should have received full credit for participation.

Furthermore, I studied thoroughly for the final exam and felt reasonably confident upon completing it. I would be very surprised to learn that I scored so poorly on it. Given the significant impact of the final exam and participation on my overall grade, I respectfully request a review of my final exam grade and verification that my participation was accurately recorded and credited.

I understand that instructors and relevant personnel may be contacted as part of this process, and I am happy to provide any additional documentation or clarification that may assist in the review.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this petition.

Sincerely,
Lachlan Campbell
