Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I was away in China due to my grandfather’s serious illness, and in china, the government blocked most of the foreign websites, which made it extremely difficult for me to access the course, I try multiple third party service but it is working on and off. I was only able to get reliable online access when I traveled to Japan and Hong Kong. Since April, I have been in contact with Ruba Arjumand regarding Academic Consideration to explain my situation. As I spent majority amount of time accompanying my grandparent, since i lived abroad when I was 13 with my parents, I have missed much time with them, who have always been the most supportive people behind me. This made it even more important for me to be with them during this difficult period, which unfortunately meant I had less time and focus to dedicate to the course.
I only recently became aware of the course requirement (CR) and am now trying to submit a formal request. I am continuing with this course when i am aware about the situation because I am still missing a few credits and have no other option if I want to complete my degree on time.
