Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,

I am writing to respectfully petition for permission to add PHAR 370 to my Fall 2025 schedule.

Due to a misunderstanding, I enrolled in 9 units of courses outside of Arts and Science this term. I was unaware of the restriction until the Undergraduate Administrative Coordinator notified me after the deadline to add courses had already passed. As a result, I am now enrolled in a course that does not count toward my plan or degree requirements.

To remain on track to graduate on time, I need to drop this course and replace it with one that fulfills my program requirements. I am requesting approval to enrol in PHAR 370 in its place this Fall term. I have already received permission from Daniel White, Health Science Program Assistant, to take PHAR 370 this semester; he indicated that I only need to submit this appeal for final approval.

I take full responsibility for this inconvenience, but without the ability to add PHAR 370 now, I risk delaying my graduation. I kindly ask for your consideration in approving this petition so that I may continue progressing through my degree as planned.
