Petition Letter: Request for a late Drop - BIOL 103

Dear Associate Dean

I hope that you are doing well. I am writing to request consideration for a late drop from BIOL 103 for the current semester.

I spoke directly with my professor regarding my performance and circumstances in the course, and they have recommended me to pursue a late drop in the course, assuring me that this would be the best academic decision for me at this time. This semester has been especially challenging as I am currently on academic probation, and the pressure and stress have affected my ability to perform at my full potential across my course, including BIOL 103. After careful reflection, I genuinely believe that withdrawing from the course this term and retaking it in a future semester will give me the best opportunity to succeed and demonstrate my true capabilities. My intent is not to avoid responsibilities, but rather make a responsible decision that supports my long term academic success.
