Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am requesting this option due to unforseen circumstances that are impairing my ability to complete my final exams. My dad was very recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in early novemeber and suddenly passed on Dec 6th. My family does not have much extended family, therefor my brother and I are my moms main support along with us experiencing our own grief. I am asking to get an aegrotat grade for these two classes as I was unable to attend the exam scheduled times and know that I will be unable to write them in January. I will be adjusting to getting back into school with this major life change. I believe that my effort put in to these classes throughout the semester reflect the knowledge that I have learned and believe this is my best option.
