Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To the Associate Dean (Academic) and Board of Studies,
During the Fall 2025 semester, I experienced a significant personal crisis that resulted in a severe and prolonged decline in my mental health. This situation was sudden, beyond my control, and had a direct impact on my ability to meet my academic requirements. Specifically, it severely impaired my ability to focus on course material, attend classes regularly, and complete assignments to my usual standard of performance.
Despite my best efforts to push through the semester, the severity of these circumstances prevented me from effectively learning the material or recognizing the need to drop the courses prior to the academic deadline.
I have attached supporting documentation from Roger Davidson at Student Wellness Services, which verifies the timeline and severity of these events, as well as their impact on my academic functioning.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
