I would like to request a waiver for the 21-day appeal deadline due to severe illness during academic year (Summer/Fall 2014, Winter/summer 2015) I had submitted an aegrotat status appeal for several classes taken during those times. However, some assignments were missing to bring me up to the required 60 completion mark. Therefore I proceeded with one successful appeal and was advised to request another appeal when the required class work was submitted, which it has.
The waiver for 21-day appeal will allow me to proceed with an aegrotat status appeal forthwith.
The base for my appeal is illness (cancer) and the DSO had been informed and approved the required accommodation; all appropriate proofs were submitted to them.

I would like to apply for aegrotat status as i have been unable to complete my classes fully for academic year 2015 complete as a result of severe and unpredictable illness, for which i m still under the of specialists.
During 2014-15 period I underwent surgery to remove a cancerous malignant tumour followed by a prolonged recovery period which also included radiation and chemotherapy. Adjusting to life post surgery has not been an easy journey for me and the recovery process is long and arduous. Moreover, it comes with side effects such as severe fatigue, lack of concentration, anemia just name a few.
Adding to all this is family and a nearly two year old daughter at home who needs constant attention as you can imagine and work (with flex hours).
Though i m very keen to get past this and move on, I can't do without help from Queens. Therefore, I would like to get on the proper road to recovery starting with getting my university studies back on track.
As a result of above and my desire to excel and do well at Queens I would like request aegrotat status for the classes included in this appeal.

I would like to appeal to request extension of my IG and aegrotat status for DEVS220 and HIST272.
As indicated in the first appeal letter to be allowed to appeal, i suffered catastrophic health failure (cancer) and have spent the last two years in treatment, recovery and treatment again. On top of my adverse health condition i am also responsible for a full time job and two infant children all of which has taken a back seat to my medical condition.
I m hoping that by granting me the above, I can actually complete my education and concentrate on recovery and perhaps further my educational standing later on in life.
