Petition Letter: Unfortunately I was required to withdraw for one year because my academic performance was poor, but that¿¿s only because I was unaware of my learning disabilities until recently, and didn¿¿t take proper measures. Unlike other students who failed, I stayed at the library for hours each day but my learning efficiency was low that it didn¿¿t matter. It took me much longer time to absorb and process the same amount of information. As you may know, students may be assigned to read hundreds of pages per week and having dyslexia would not help. On top my learning disability issues, I was really depressed with my grandma¿¿s passing since she raised me. I was unhappy all the time and unable to concentrate. I felt hopeless and without a goal ¿¿ it¿¿s hard to explain.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: If my appeal is granted, I will make maximum effort to achieve the desired grades. I Will go to RARC to learn more about my learning disabilities specifically. I've consulted experts, and I can only afford it if I were allowed to continue my study, as a large sum is required and I need the bursaries for it. Meanwhile I will also seek learning strategists to help me plan and cope with my weaknesses. I know I have the potential to achieve good grades, but not the same way I used past year. I need to seek strategies that work for me specifically. I've already done a lot of research and know who to consult. I really hope my appeal will be granted because I really want to see how it goes knowing my problems this time around. If the decision is made after september when I can no longer enroll, I would like to continue my study in winter.
