Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Due to psychological challenges that I have endured as a result of the war in Iran, I have been unable to continue a full course load. I was forced to drop 2 courses a week later than I should have, which resulted in a DR notation being added to my transcript. The war has caused undue stress and has made it exceptionally difficult to manage my course load. I am asking for the DR notation to be removed due to these unforeseen and distressing circumstances. I have also spoken to a Queen's Psychologist and gotten documentation to support the necessity of dropping these courses. Given that the courses were dropped only a week after the last drop date, and what I have laid out here, this petition is well justified.
