Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am respectfully requesting permission to enroll late in two summer courses (GLPH 487 and HLTH 332) after the May 8 enrollment deadline. I understand the importance of academic deadlines and regret missing the add deadline by a short period of time.

During the final weeks of the 2026 Winter term and immediately following exams, I was managing personal circumstances that affected my ability to complete my summer course planning within the required timeline. Balancing end of term academic responsibilities alongside personal obligations caused a delay in finalizing my course selections and submitting my enrollment request before the deadline.

After reviewing my academic plan and learning track requirements, I determined that enrolling in these summer courses would support my progression into fourth year and help balance my future course load. The courses I am requesting are manageable within the summer term, and I am fully prepared to begin coursework immediately and catch up on any missed material.

I take responsibility for missing the deadline and respectfully ask that my request be considered given the short time elapsed since the deadline and my commitment to maintaining my academic progress.
