Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing to petition for permission to drop one of my currently enrolled summer courses and add two Economics courses past the add/drop deadline.
I was unable to register for the appropriate courses before the summer deadline because my final Economics grades had not yet been released. Without knowing my results, I had no way of knowing that I had not met the grade requirements for my Economics plan. By the time my grades were posted, the deadline to add or drop courses had already passed.
I am currently enrolled in two summer courses and am requesting to drop one in order to add the two Economics courses I need to fulfill my plan requirements.
As this situation was entirely beyond my control, I respectfully ask that you consider my petition. I am happy to provide any supporting documentation upon request.
