Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To the Academic Petitions Committee,

I am writing to respectfully request permission to add a summer course after the add deadline. The reason for my delayed registration was due to an issue with my Microsoft Authenticator account, which prevented me from accessing and verifying my identity for my Queen’s University login and SOLUS account.

During the registration period, I was unable to successfully sign into my Queen’s account because the Microsoft Authenticator app was not functioning properly on my device. Since the system required authentication verification to access SOLUS, I was effectively locked out of the platform and unable to enroll in courses before the deadline. I spent considerable time attempting to resolve the issue through troubleshooting and contacting support, and the problem was only recently fixed.

As soon as I regained access to my account, I immediately attempted to enroll in the course. I fully intended to register before the deadline and understand the importance of meeting university deadlines, but this situation was outside of my control and directly impacted my ability to access the registration system.

Adding this course is important for my academic progression and summer academic plans. I am prepared to catch up on any missed material immediately and commit fully to the course requirements if my request is approved.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my petition. I sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,
Nicholas Zvaniga
