Petition Letter: Hello,

I am reaching out to respectfully ask for assistance regarding a late drop from STAT 263 and possible enrollment into PSYC 397.

Over the past several months, I have been facing significant personal and financial challenges while trying to complete my online BA degree. I am a recent single mother currently working two jobs while balancing school and supporting my family. Although I genuinely tried my best in STAT 263, I have been struggling mentally and academically under the pressure of these circumstances and no longer feel confident in my ability to succeed in the course.

Because of this, I made the difficult decision to drop STAT 263 slightly after the deadline. I am hoping there may still be a possibility of consideration for this late drop and an opportunity to enroll in PSYC 397 instead, as I am very close to finishing my degree and am trying hard to stay on track academically.

I am fully prepared to catch up on any missed coursework in PSYC 397 immediately and am happy to contact the instructor directly if necessary.
