Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am a first-year Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Kinesiology student. I respectfully request a second deferred exam for PSYC 100 and initial deferred exams for KNPE 125, KNPE 167, and BIOL 103. During Winter 2026, I struggled with severe anxiety, insomnia, and exhaustion, which affected my coursework. I received a deferred PSYC 100 exam scheduled for May 19, 2026. However, due to ongoing health issues, I returned to China on April 23 for family support and medical care. By the exam date, I was still in China and could not travel back to campus. I deeply regret this. I understand that a second deferral is exceptional. I confirm that I will be available during the late August or early September 2026 exam period. For the other three courses, I did not receive deferred exam notifications because my medical documentation was still being processed. I remain in China under medical supervision. Attached are my Xuanwu Hospital medical records documenting my condition. I sincerely apologize for the delays and take full responsibility. If required, I can provide flight tickets or entry exit records to prove my return to China. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
