Petition Letter: To whom this may concern,
I am writing to request an admittance into WRIT 250. Due to the recent loss of a family member this summer, my ability to focus and concentrate has been severely strained. My lack of concentration is affecting my academic performance and therefore I have been encouraged to take on a less strenuous course load. I have just recently dropped Introduction to finance as I couldn't cope with its challenging material alongside my other difficult courses at this time. I hope to enrol in WRIT 250 as I believe it will complement my schedule and create balance.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Introduction to finance has been dropped to reduce anxiety as I was too overwhelmed which is why I would like to add WRIT 250 in hopes of reducing my stress level. WRIT 250 will balance my schedule and be beneficial, rather than damaging and destructive as finance appeared to consume time needed for other courses. This is the best option for me as I will be able to better manage my stress and anxiety in a healthier manner by reducing a very difficult schedule to a more balanced one. With introduction to finance out of my schedule I will have adequate time to devote to WRIT 250 and will be able to be successful and achieve greatness in the course. I have wanted to take WRIT 250 from the beginning of course selection though at selection time I did not add it as I had a full schedule. I hope to be added into the course so I can still take on a full course load and be on track with my degree through this difficult time. I am determined to excel in all of my courses and I believe this course will enable me to do so.
