Petition Letter: Hello,
GNDS 351 is required for my major in Art History and I was put on the wait list for the class in position 1 and did not get into the class, despite it now showing as open. I have attended all the classes thus far and no classes from ARTH 226. I made an error on my part in not registering for GNDS 351 in the summer but it is now integral for my ARTH plan. ARTH 226 will give me nothing other than an elective and I have already completed two courses in modern art. I have discussed this with Prof Nancy Butler and she can vouch for me in getting into this class. Prof Butler says her roster is 59 and I could easily join.
I have very good academic and financial standing with the university, I would so greatly appreciate if you could help me out.

I plan on graduating with a BAH in Art History. GNDS 351 counts towards my ARTH plan.
Enrolling in GNDS 351 will provide a credit towards Art History, whereas ARTH 226 will only count as an elective. Enrolling in GNDS 351 will allow me to take a lighter 4th course load which will offer more time for me to prepare for a masters at Queens in Art History. I would so greatly appreciate the enrolment in GNDS 351, which is now an open class. Prof.
Nancy Butler can vouch for me needing to get into this class.
