Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I was under the impression that I was doing well in this course due to a lack of any substantial indicators until after the deadline. Until Sunday the 8th of November there were no grades available to students with exception of some online homework grades and a single lab grade. The lab grade was hardly indicative of course standing as no feedback or the report was given back. The midterm was the only true indicator that I was doing extremely poorly in this class, and there was no way of knowing until after the deadline to drop courses.

This course is not a requirement and I can easily make up the credits next year, and likely without the GPA crippling grade I would have if I stayed in this course. I can't pass this course with my current grades, and I was unaware of this until after the deadline.
