Petition Letter
Petition Letter: To the Associate Dean,
I wish to submit an official appeal to the Associate Dean, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, to respectfully request a credit for my performance and participation in a course this semester.
In the third week of September of this year, I was asked to join the percussion section of the Queen's Wind Ensemble, directed by Dan Tremblay. After I had been officially accepted by, Dr. Tremblay, into the percussion section of the wind ensemble, I had assumed that I would be receiving a credit for my participation. As my name was included in the ensemble's attendance records, I fully believed that I was in the official registry for receiving the course's credit. I have recently learned that I have not been included in the registry to receive the credit.
I have been diligently attending every Queen's Wind Ensemble rehearsal, as well as official performances, as a dedicated percussionist and student. I was truthfully under the impression that I would be receiving a credit for all of the time and effort I have put into honing my ability to perform for Dr. Tremblay. I am in dire need of this credit in order to complete my degree in time for my graduation.
I sincerely apologize for any error on my part that may have led to this misunderstanding, and I hope this issue can be solved with your help.
I would be pleased to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you for your consideration of my letter of appeal. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Evan J. Carr
