Petition Letter: Dear Appeal Board,
I have been going through a lot of mental health issues over the past 2 months. I am having a hard time grasping STATS 263 due to these circumstances. Currently, I have been having challenges focusing and even finding drive to do my work. The circumstance I am currently under have to do with my state at home. My parents have always had a rough marriage but it has been troubling me ever since I have been away from home. As well, within the last week my Uncle passed away at the age of 69 from an unexpected heart attack. This death absolutely ravaged me and I am having a very hard time with the death as a whole. In turn, I feel like my grades are taking an affect. School has always been important to me and I do not want my marks to get affected. That is why I am appealing to drop out of STATS 263. Due to my mental state and the death of a closed loved one I am struggling within my course load. I do not want a failing mark to appear on my transcripts due to the fact that it will affect me in the long run. Additionally a failing mark out even further deepen my mental state. Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal regarding STATS 263.
