Petition Letter: Hello,
I'm making this appeal to drop my PSYC271 course, under the extenuating circumstances of having low-mood / low motivation issues throughout the Fall term. I've already sent in supporting paperwork to Associate Dean Sue Blake during an earlier appeal. With the fact that I have used an appeal to drop a course earlier this term (CLST-205), I understand that only one is generally permitted per term, but I wasn't in the right state of judgement to properly evaluate my potential success in courses aside from CLST205. It was because of my inability to plan effectively (at the time), I had anticipated that I would be able to succeed in that course, and it's clear now that this isn't the case. As mentioned in my previous appeal, I had debilitating psychological challenges which also affected my judgment. In a better state of mind, I would have definitely dropped this course alongside CLST205, it's just that I wasn't, and as a result need to drop this course now.
Thank you.
