Please accept this letter as my appeal to take more than 6.0 credits as a visiting student within a single school year.
I have been a student of Queen's University since 2010, and my studies as an undergraduate student is nearing its end. I am aware that as a third or fourth year student, I am able to transfer a maximum of 6.0 credits in a school year. Coming into the school year of 2015-2016, I was under the impression that I was 6.0 credits away from meeting my requirements to graduate with a BAH in Economics (3.0 credits from a core course, and 3.0 credits from an elective). As a 5 year student of Queens, I have accumulated quite a large sum of debt; mainly from living expenses away from home in Kingston. My initial plan, then, was to take my remaining 6.0 credits as a visiting student during this school year (3.0 in the first semester, and 3.0 in the second semester), while starting to work almost full time hours. In the fall semester, I studied my core course (Econ history) as a visiting student at U of T, finishing with a grade of C-. As I applied for graduation in December, I was under the impression that I only had 3.0 credits from an elective course remaining to fulfill my requirements. However, I received an email saying I have an exclusion for two courses I took in second year, STAT and SOCY, changing my required unit count from 3.0 to 6.0. I am hoping to complete my degree this term, without having to return to Kingston for a semester to complete two electives. The living expenses coupled with tuition would not be ideal as opposed to living at home, working, while finishing my studies.
I am really hoping to be able to take the remaining 6.0 credits through Athabasca College this term, and finishing in time to graduate this June. This would help me, as well as my family tremendously financially.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Although the news of two of my courses being exclusions was a setback in my original plan, I still plan on graduating from Queens this June. I believe that finishing the remaining 6.0 credits in Toronto, while living at home, is best for both myself and my family.
With a bigger course load this semester, I am looking to cut my hours at work from 30 hours a week, to around 15 hours. That way, I can give myself enough time for my two courses, while still making a decent income every week. Within the first week of class, I will readjust my hours accordingly, depending on how i feel with the workload of my courses.
