I am appealing to obtain credit standing for KNPE 225: Advance Human Physiology and PSYC 205: Comparative Psychology. I have yet to complete my final exam for ANAT 315: Human Musculoskeletal System and may also be appealing for credit standing for this course.

The extenuating circumstance that has led me to seek credit seeking is due to my father¿¿s continued illness. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia in May 2014. His condition was under control until June 2015 when he had his first relapse. This resulted in a change of treatment which required him to have a stem cell transplant. A 100 match was found in September 2015 ¿¿ however, even though the match was his sister, the donor backed out which resulted in him relapsing again. The doctors have since found another donor, although not a full match. In November 2015, he started an aggressive bout of chemotherapy and radiation, which resulted in complete paralysis on his left side and partial paralysis on his right side. Throughout these past two years, it has been extremely stressful on my family. I chose to take a semester off when he was first diagnosed but have since tried to finish my degree. It has been very difficult to concentrate on schooling, especially to keep up on readings and tests. A few of my professors have been very accommodating, as well as the School of Kinesiology and Health Science, which has been very much appreciated.

Moving forward, I have sought out medical help and have been prescribed anti-anxiety medications which has helped tremendously. I will also try to keep on top of my studies and readings in the event that I have to travel to Boston unexpectedly. In regards to my father¿¿s condition, we are waiting to see if he has achieved remission, in which case a stem cell transplant will be scheduled for February 2016.
