Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I am submitting this appeal to be added to the music course MUSC 188 after the deadline. The reason I would like to be submitted is because I was the first and only one on the wait list for the course, and attending the classes while waiting for someone to drop the course. After a period of time, it became apparent that someone might not drop, so I talked to professor Jeff Hanlon, who told me that even if no one dropped the course, he would be all right with me joining the class despite the fact it was full. When the deadline for dropping courses for the full refund passed and no one had dropped the course, he told me to contact Professor Stephanie Lind to see if she could make the exception and allow me to join the full class. Unfortunately, she told me that because the deadline had passed, I would need to open an appeal to be added to the course, because she did not have the ability to add me after the deadline.

If necessary, I can provide copies of the email conversations of both professors giving me permission to join the full class.
