Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean of Studies,
I am a first year student studying Kinesiology. I was third on the waitlist for Anatomy 101, until it was purged on January 18th. I am appealing to request late admission into Anatomy 101 as one of my courses for the Winter 2016 term. I would like to be added to the lab on Thursday at 8:30-10:30 and the lectures on Monday at 4:30 and Tuesday at 1:30.
Before January 15, I had heard from another student who was in contact with Dr. Oko that it looked as though everyone on the waitlist was accepted into the course. I expected to get in and dropped Spanish 112 before the deadline to avoid paying a financial penalty. To my disappointment, I did not get into Anatomy 101 and now I am short a credit.
I am very interested to learn about the anatomy of the human body. I have been told that Anatomy 101 is beneficial for preparing for second year Kinesiology. I have been working extremely hard to meet the challenges of first year Kinesiology and hoped to gain a solid foundation in the structure and functions of the muscles and tissues in the body.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: As a Kinesiology student, I am very interested in learning about how the human body functions and Anatomy 101 will assist me in preparing for more advanced Anatomy courses next year.
Even though I am not yet part of the course, I have attended all the lectures and have been receiving the notes from a friend who is enrolled in the course. I have also been kept up to date about the laboratory work which I am not yet able to participate in.
If I do get accepted into the course, I shall attend the labs and make sure I catch up by going to the extra labs for help when it is closer to the time of exams. I will also, see the Professor after the lectures or drop in during office hours if I have any questions or any misunderstandings about any course material.
