Petition Letter: To Whom This May Concern,
I am planning to attend the Rothberg Program at Hebrew University from August 30th 2016- June 30th 2017.
I believe the opportunity for me to live and study in Jerusalem will be very beneficial towards my education. I am in good academic standing and having the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a foreign country will be advantageous.
I am appealing to take third year courses away from Queens University as I believe Hebrew University is a great opportunity for me to grow and expand my education in a new culture and language. Moreover, given my major and minor Hebrew University is the perfect fit for what I am looking for. Going to Hebrew University will not dampen my academic performance as I intend to stay on top of my work and let Hebrew University help me grow so when I return to Queens University I am a more well rounded student.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to go to a school where I can grow both inside and outside of the classroom.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My time at Hebrew University will not negatively affect my academic plan. I still plan to graduate in 2018. I have met with the head of my department who has ensured me that my studies at Hebrew U will be beneficial towards my academic goals. Seeing as I am a Religious Studies Major and Jewish Studies minor, Hebrew U has a lot of courses to offer in those fields. I plan to take a full course load while I am at Hebrew u and the allowed amount of courses that can go towards my major and minor away from Queens University. I believe my education will be enriched at Hebrew U and only prove to be advantageous towards my academic plan. I look forward to studying in a new culture and environment without falling behind so that when I return to Queens the following year I am in an opportune position to complete my degree.
