Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am writing to extend the IN status of my grade in CISC 124 in the Fall of 2015. I have been struggling with mental health, specifically depression, for a long time and am still in the difficult process of getting better. I was officially diagnosed in October 2015 but it¿¿s taken a severe toll on my work the past few years, making mundane tasks very difficult and simply making daily life very difficult. I¿¿ve been in constant contact with my doctor and I am currently taking some medication that seems to be helping, but the road to recovery is a long one. I¿¿ve made improvements over this past semester, but it¿¿s difficult to find the time to go back to Toronto to speak with my doctor in person. The campus health services also seem to be very undermanned (especially around exam season) and it takes many weeks to book a session with a counselor and as such I can¿¿t speak with them very often. Adding an extra course¿¿s worth of work onto an existing schedule has proved to be fairly overwhelming for me and I would like the opportunity to complete CISC 124 fully at a later date, presumably next September.
