Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is kai zheng, student number 10103676, and I am in Professor.Dhavernas 's fren 106 this summer. I am very sorry for any inconveniences this might caused. I talked to Professor.Dhavernas and student advisor David Youssef, and they advice me to appeal to drop the course and take it again when I have stable internet connection.
I just fly back to Sichuan, China last week due to an family emgerency, and I had a lot of difficulties accessing course work since (moodle, rosetta stone and tutorial). Most of the time, the pages just won't load ), and sometimes it takes at least 10-20 minutes to load a page on moodle and rosetta stone. I tried various different VPN servers hoping to get a stable internet, but no luck. I also went out to other places in the city like library, school and hotel. I still can not get a stable internet connection to access moodle and rosetta stone. I also can't not access the 4th tutotial link. It is really frustrating now.
I know it is late in the courses, and I even just finish the oral project with my group before I fly back to China. I don't know what to do now as I can not access moodle and rosetta stone (which is 30 of our final grade), I am also worry that I would not be able to access the final exam as it is pure online, and moodle keeps freeze or takes at least 10-20 minutes to load, and would all of the sudden went out again.
If you want, I will send in the proof of my travel and all the necessary documents.
