Petition Letter: 21 day appeal
Dear Associate Dean,
My name is Travis Perrin and I am appealing that the 21 day appeal deadline be lifted so that I may appeal my request to withdraw for one year.
The reason I need to appeal the 21 day deadline is because I had not received this e-mail until June 22nd 2014. I had always received notifications for my e-mail on my phone but i had thought it was odd that I had not received an e-mail since may 16th. I checked my outlook web app and still there had not been an e-mail. I didn't think I was missing anything because it was summer and e-mails are more rare than during classes from september-april. On june 22nd I restored my phone and re-downloaded my outlook web app and i received over 15 e-mails from Queen's, one being the letter that I be asked to withdraw for a year, so I took immediate action, which is why i am appealing the 21 day deadline.
Please take my appeal into consideration as in the future I plan to not rely only on my phone for e-mails and to be more active when I find it odd that I had not received any.
