Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to review my appeal.

I was involved in an accident on July 4, 2016. I was trampled, stepped on and kicked in the face by a horse. I received a debilitating concussion, multiple broken teeth, a tooth that was lodged into my jaw, severe bruising to my right femur, critical swelling to my face, as well a large lesion to the jaw and face concluding with nerve damage to the area. I was in immense pain with my injuries and suffered a great deal of mental confusion and memory loss.

I continued to attend multiple doctors and dentist appointments over the next two months in regards to my injuries. I am still attending appointments for my injuries. I can provide all dates and notes for these appointments if necessary.

When you look at my student record, you will see that I was passing the course until the time when I suffered from the concussion. My doctor had deemed me unfit to participate in school work and examinations. My memory retention led me to be unable to continue to be successful with the final exam resulting in failure in PSYCH100, despite many hours spent note taking and attempting to study prior to it.

More recently, I feel that I have healed well and feel confident that I could return to regular coursework with success. I would like to have the opportunity to write an alternate exam and be re-admitted as a student at Queen¿¿s University.
