New Information: I would like to revise my appeal to include credit standing for PHIL 261 (Instructor: Sergio Sismondo), and PSYC 370 (Instructor: Mary Olmstead) and also from my original appeal to drop CISC 124 (fall 2014, winter 2015) and credit standing in CISC 101 (Fall 2013), CISC 203 (Fall 2014), CISC 204 (Winter 2015), CISC 260 (Winter 2016).
I had to take frequent trips back to Toronto to take care of my mother. This included going to the hospital to pick up her prescription biweekly, cooking for her, taking care of the her and the apartment. I am on OSAP and had to work another job to be able to afford my living and travelling expenses to Toronto. Unfortunately, I found myself always in debt and barely able to pay the bills. The financial stress and my mother's health issues made it very difficult for my to perform well academically. I didn't have time to study and when I did I was very stressed. It is very difficult to learn difficult courses such as computing in these circumstances because you are so emotionally and mentally drained that everything you read does not get processed.
Thankfully, my mother's health is much better now and I have other family in Toronto to take care of her. I am excited to focus on school and aspire for academic excellence.
