Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Hello,
My name is Bushra Afreen and I am a 5th year DEVS student. I had taken ARAB 100 in my 4th year (2015-2016) but I was forced to drop it midway around October when I became very sick. Since it is a full year course, I had to drop the Winter component as well.
I have been trying to take it again this year but I kept running into scheduling conflicts with one of my other classes which is a tutorial. However, I found out today (Monday, SEP 26) that there has been an opening in another tutorial so I have swapped into that. I can now take ARAB 100 without any scheduling problems. But the add deadline has passed, which is why I am appealing.
I have spoken with the course instructor as well as the department of LLC and they are okay with everything and understand the circumstances. Since I have taken some of the classes from this course before, I am familiar with the content that is being taught in September. I am spoken to Amal and she and I have agreed that I will make up for any assignments or handouts or homework that I have missed. I have also discussed with Amal and will be attending the classes; however, I will not have access to onQ where many of the handouts are posted. But in the end, I am sure I will not encounter many difficulties while catching up. I would greatly appreciate any help towards my enrollment in ARAB 100 A/B.
Thank you so much,
Bushra Afreen

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My plan:
As I have mentioned above, I am familiar with the course content pre-midterm. I also have the textbooks. Besides this, I am ready to work hard and visit my instructor at her office hours to make sure I am caught up with the last two weeks.
I am confident that I will be able to be caught up by next week. However, I really need access to onQ to make sure I am fully caught up and keeping up with the current classes.
Thank you,
Bushra
