Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To the Associate Dean of Studies, Dr. Johanne Benard:
I am appealing to the Faculty's ban on enrolling in courses after the financial deadline on September 23rd. I would like to re-enroll in PORT 103, despite the deadline.
I apologize on behalf of the triviality of my reason ahead of time. I was enrolled in Portuguese, attended all the lectures until Thursday 22nd of September, because I switched into another course that occurred at the same time. I dropped that course as well and meant to switch back into Portuguese but didn't because by then it was Friday the 23rd (the last day to drop and enroll classes without financial penalties) and it was also my friend's 19th birthday so needless to say my intention was not carried through. Again, I apologize for the triviality of my reason, but I have been taking accountability for my actions and have been attending lectures and doing the required homework and assignment. I also really need to re-enroll in Portuguese because otherwise I would be missing 3 credits at the end of the year which I would rather not have to be compensate for in the summer, in which I do intend to pursue an internship or a study abroad. I also happen to like Portugese, but alas I am human and prone to frivolous errors that can lead to more consequential outcomes, such as this letter. Once more, I apologize for the time you have spent reading this letter because of such a frivolous error as opposed to someone who had valid extenuating circumstances.
I intend to continue attending Portugese lectures and doing my required assignments.

Thank you for your time and hopefully your consideration,

Nour Moustafa-Fahmy

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: I am fortunate to not be ill and have a wonderful family that loves me dearly, so I am not facing any extenuating circumstances at this current moment in time that I need to work around, specifically any that prohibited me from enrolling in Portuguese. But I will continue to attend lectures and do my work successfully.
