Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My name is Alejandra Kudo and I¿¿m requesting to drop GND 212 after the academic deadline and requesting a review of instructors¿¿ decisions on grading on final examination and/or term work. Before exams (December 3rd-December4th) I had a mental and stressful crisis, which ultimately affected my performance on my final exams and assessments. I was hospitalized in April, which led me to have to drop CISC 102. I took CISC 102 this semester and I failed my exam, but I did not fail any of the tests throughout the semester and one test was even cancelled because Professor Rappaport forgot to print 100 tests. You need to pass the course by passing the exam; therefore, I request to have this boundary condition not apply to me because of my extenuating circumstances. I hope the school and associate dean of studies is understanding of my circumstances and situation. Per doctor¿¿s request, I will be taking a lighter course load next semester and continue working on my self-care and continue taking computing classes.
