Re: HLTH315 Appeal of Final Grade

I am appealing my final grade of B for HLTH315, as per the attached ¿¿Goodman HLTH315 Final Grade¿ (PDF). I respectfully request a review and re-grading of the following term work:
¿¿ Unit 2 Assignment (paper 1)
¿¿ Unit 3 Assignment Part 1 (paper 2)
¿¿ Unit 3 Assignment Part 2 (paper 3)
¿¿ Summary Assignment (cheat sheet)

Based on my rebuttal, I contend that each paper merits a grade higher than B-, which should therefore result in a warranted final grade of at least an A-. The attached documents provide evidence of where each assignment was under-evaluated substantially, and thus not evaluated to its full merit.

I am unable to secure an informal review with the instructor, Dr. Latimer-Cheung. Not only is she on maternity leave but this would not be an appropriate step as outlined in the attached ¿¿Overview of Concerns¿. Hence my direct appeal to you.

Special note: Time is of the essence Applications for graduate school are due on Jan 20th, which requires submission of my current transcript. All courses in Year 4 and Year 3 are reviewed for acceptance. My current transcript indicates ¿¿B¿ for this course. Although every single one of my other courses is either an A+, A, or A-, this ¿¿B¿ will make the pivotal difference in acceptance to highly competitive graduate programs in which there are only 30 spots for 500+ applicants. Since this anomaly truly impacts my future academic and career plans, I would greatly appreciate it if a re-grading can be assigned before Jan 20th, given that the weeding of applications are contingent on the current transcript and not the final transcript.

My extreme frustration is to think that all my hard work to attain a straight A in some of the most difficult courses at QU would be nullified if this unwarranted B grade for a foundational course were to irrevocably jeopardize my future. Hence how critical it is to have my appeal reviewed for re-grading before the Jan 20th deadline. I grant permission for the Office of Undergraduate Studies to retrieve my official transcript.

The attached documents provide evidence that clearly articulate my grounds for reconsideration of the unwarranted grades for each assignment, and thus its impact on my overall final grade.

Regards,
Jade Goodman
