Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,

I am submitting this new appeal as instructed by you. I attempted to complete the PHAR340 final multiple choice exam because I was trying to be positive and hope for the best that my medical situation would not affect me. However, it did affect my performace, both myself and my professor recognizing this. We attempted to set up a supplementary exam based on my accommodations but were notified that a policy existed that prohibited this. I did not know about this policy; I would have just asked ahead of time for a supplementary exam if I had known. Instead, I tried to be positive and attempt the normal non-accommodated exam. The results from this exam were not reflective of my capabilities and that is why I am requesting Credit Standing (CR). If needed please see my past appeals with documentation and supporting medical evidence as to why I am still being affected in school. Moving forward this term I have worked hard to ensure I have been enrolled in only classes that either do not have final exams or if they do, evaluations are open/long response.

Sincerely,

Matthew Demmings
