Petition Letter

Petition Letter: At the beginning of October I suffered a concussion and was unable to concentrate or work to my full capacity on my courses. Shortly after this, I was diagnosed with mononucleosis and was consequently bedridden and unable to resume my studies fully and unable to attend classes or tutorials. As I was beginning to regain some abilities I was again knocked down and diagnosed with pneumonia. As you can imagine this string of illnesses created significant barriers for at least the two month period and the loss of this time make it nearly impossible to complete all the course requirement and where I was able to do so, it did not reflect my abilities and the grades were significantly lower than if I had been well and able to participate for the entire semester. I am thus requesting to be permuted to receive credit for the courses without having the grades I obtained recorded in order that I may continue my studied at Queen's without carrying the burden of a grade point average that was heavily impacted by medical challenges.
